The effectiveness of the design was in part due to the simplicity of it. Rather than employing massive amounts of budget-breaking cutting-edge technology, we chose to use standard materials in a non-standard way. A simple tear-away scrim dividing the room, allowed us to use the space imaginatively, creating two starkly different spaces that eventually flowed into each other.

Oil cans became drums, and electric grinders became pyrotechnics. Still imagery imparted a sense of dizzying motion, as did simple lighting and a few moving gobos.

Slightly angled 2:1 Twin P screens viewable from front and back, and semicircular seating created an enveloping environment further suggesting motion.
